Sommer,
Awesome insights and very valuable for marketers. I'd love to repost this with a link back to this original piece on our Threeminds blog (www.threeminds.com). LMK if that's okay.
Thanks,
Sarah Jo

Thanks Alli! I'm so glad I was able to participate and attend - it truly was an honor and worthwhile experience. I can't wait to see you in NYC for BlogHer!

I had a wonderful time at BlogHer and like all conferences – it is what you make of it. With BlogHer it was my first big conference so I wanted to do everything but with Blissdom I knew that I needed to be selective and take it for more of a learning opportunity. I blame that on myself the first go around. Personally, I cannot wait to attend BlogHer this year and treat it like I did Blissdom.

Nice summary. I've pretty much conceded to not attending BlogHer this year. Yes, I had a wonderful time, got a lot of great stuff, but I found the entire experience exhausting. And I didn't really take away as much knowledge as I had expected. Maybe I just picked the wrong tracks.

I'm hoping to spend this year finding myself, getting organized and expanding my blog (just started taking on contributing authors). Then I want to step back and find the perfect conference for me that can help lead me in the right direction. Barbara is wonderful and from the sounds of it, Blissdom would be a good pick. Just need to sit down and weigh the pros and cons of all the different conferences to determine which I want to invest in.

Thanks for your providing a great view of Blissdom!
