About

3 Green Angels came from the concept of working hard to promote eco-friendly green companies while kicking some ass! The idea is to bring a team of three individuals together that each have their own successful businesses, jobs and talents but that can together work to assist clients in promoting their products, services, companies and ideas through our network – using the 3 Green Angels skill sets.

Alicia-ProfileAlicia Voorhies is a former RN who left the rat race to pursue her dream of owning a business.  After 13 years, she traded working 60 hours per week as Director of Nursing in a community based organization for disabled adults to relax and enjoy her love of medical research in alternative health ideas.  She was immediately attracted to the mysteries of toxic plastics and their effect on children.  As she poured over studies published by prominent scientists, she came away more alarmed than ever.  The mounting evidence showing harm caused in children by leaching endorcrine-disrupting chemical in common household products was overwhelming.  While  searching for safe alternatives, she quickly realized how limited the available information was, and that’s how The Soft Landing, LLC was born.

Her desire to help concerned people navigate the sea of unlabeled products became her mission and she works hard to answer the growing demand for non-toxic alternatives.  She functions as part of a work-at-home team of family members to locate, research and offer non-toxic products in her  online store.  The Soft Landing is the first store of its kind to offer only products made confirmed to be free of BPA, PVC, phthalates and lead.

She publishes all of her findings at The Soft Landing Blog in an effort to educate parents about the dangers of common chemicals.  Her work has been cited by ABC News, Newsweek, the New York Times, the Kansas City Star and health-conscious websites such as National Geographic’s The Green Guide, Enviroblog and Healthy Child Healthy World.

As a successful business owner, Alicia has mastered a wide array of marketing techniques.  She enjoys teaching aspiring business owners to use her easy tips and tricks in the areas of website structure, product selection, inventory control, product image creation and social marketing (including blogging, giveaways, twitter and facebook).  She has quite a large following on Twitter as @thesoftlanding and would love to connect with you too!
