How Do You Feed Baby Green? Ask Dr. Greene Yourself!

Posted by: Alicia on November 3, 2009

FBG-CoverDr. Greene has swept the nation with his passionate way of caring for children in the most natural way possible.  He’s very approachable and so down to earth (even answering parent’s questions on Twitter), that it’s easy to forget about his amazing professional background.

Dr. Greene is currently a clinical professor of pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine, attending pediatrician at Packard Children’s Hospital, and a senior fellow at the University of California San Francisco Center for the Health Professions.  He is the Chief of Future Health for A.D.A.M., the President of the Society for Participatory Medicine, and is on the Board of Directors for Healthy Child Healthy World, The Center for Information Therapy, and The Organic Center.  Wow!

And now he’s sharing his latest work based on a personal to mission to find the secrets hidden in our food - the good and the bad - in Feeding Baby Green.  Dr. Greene offers parents green choices for feeding children from when they are in the womb through toddler years.  He includes advice on how to transform a baby’s eating habits that will positively impact their health and development for the rest of their lives. Parents will find everything they need to know about creating healthy, nutritious meals that help avoid childhood obesity, and prevent childhood disease.

  • How what a mother eats during pregnancy effects her baby’s health and eating habits for years after birth
  • Advice on “green” feeding for babies from pregnancy to toddlers
  • Practical tips for selecting and preparing earth friendly meals for babies
  • Health benefits for babies who eat “green” with innate nutritional intelligence

Join us for the #ecowed Twitter Party tomorrow, November 4th from 10 to 11 pm Eastern.  Janelle Sorenson of Healthy Child will be offering her expertise on raising healthy babies as a guest panelist too!

As a reminder, please visit our disclaimer and information on Twitter parties. The hosts of our parties are sponsored hosts but the basis for all parties has to do with eco-friendly education. There are many spectrums of green but we aim to align ourselves with companies that a) we trust b) we respect c) are trying to do the right thing and be eco-friendly d) that we would buy from or tell our friends about.

  • Hi Janelle and Dr. Greene LOVED Raising Baby Green and looking forward to picking up Feeding Baby Green! Dr. Greene, was also at your vitamin line announcement in Marin, but wasn't able to talk afterwards (you did autograph the heavily-tabbed book for our son), so hopefully we can do lunch (I'm a cheap date).

Thanks to both of you and HCHW for all your great work!
