ecostore USA: A Case Study on Social Media
Return on Investment (ROI). Three words that almost every single social media and marketing consultant hears when they speak with potential clients. Clients that want to see numbers and facts - not just mushy stuff about investing in something and gaining more trust and online exposure. They want to know the bottom line. What will it cost them short term, long term and will they see their profits increase? Sit in our seats and try to answer these questions and you’ll know that this it is no easy task. We may be angels but right now we have devilish little grins on our faces because we have some angelic news that shows that there is indeed ROI when it comes to social media >>>>Insert us rubbing our hands together and grinning from ear to ear<<<<<<<<<<<<!!!
With the economy suffering it might be hard to imagine online sales increasing for a company in the green market. Well, our halos are shinning because co-founder, Sommer Poquette of Green and Clean Mom, worked hard with ecostore USA to begin and maintain its social media campaign and the results were amazing! Here are a few excerpts from the recent case study:
“From January 2009 to March 2009 ecostore USA experienced an increase in online sales by 202% as compared with October 08 through December 2008″
“When ecostore USA ran its August 2009 BOGO sales on the heels of a live presence at BlogHer ‘09 in Chicago and Facebook contest, ecostore USA experienced a substantial increase in traffic to the ecommerce website along with 162% increase in customers who made purchases that were not just Gift Certificate sales, but rather, out and out sales.”

Have you heard of @ecostoreusa and their eco friendly, plant-based household cleaning products? They are as effective as the leading supermarket brands, and their body and baby care ranges are gentle on your skin and are simply beautiful to use. According to the company their products are made from plant- and mineral-based ingredients, free of toxic chemicals that bring people closer to nature with non-toxic, environmentally safe solutions that also help to reduce our carbon footprint.
From their ecommerce website:
Our products also help to ensure value for the dollar for our customers. We know it can be expensive to buy natural or organic products but we’ve found a way to safely super-concentrate our formulations. Our super-concentrates means that a little really does go a long way – saving you money by cutting down significantly on cost per use.
Now available in the USA market, ecostore USA is partnered with New Zealand-based ecostore; a mainstream choice in consumer products that help people throughout New Zealand, Australia, and select locations in Asia and the UK, take better care of their health and homes. For even more information about our New Zealand partners, visit their site at www.ecostore.co.nz.
ecostore NZ was founded more than 15 years ago by Melanie and Malcolm Rands from their home in an eco village in New Zealand.
All of the families that lived in the farm based eco village shared a commitment to organic growing and healthy living, making this an ideal environment in which a young, environmentally conscious business could thrive. Each household in the village was responsible for their own waste water, which quickly highlighted the problems caused by using regular supermarket cleaning products that relied heavily on cheap, petroleum-based, synthetic ingredients.
The founder, Malcolm Rands (EcoMan), will be joining us this Wednesday @ecostoreusa to help educate us on their
company, products and to learn more about Malcolm Rands whose known as “EcoMan”. Malcolm was a stay at home dad who wanted safer products for his family AND the planet. Malcolm knows “ingredients”, he knows parenthood, eco-friendly living! Join us for another fun #ecowed party and see if you can stump EcoMan!
